Pokemon for Gameboy was released in Japan about two years ago. It was a great hit and is the best-selling Gameboy game of all time. Pokemon finally reached U.S. shores a few months ago, and its been a great hit here as well. There are two versions of the game, Pokemon Red and Pokemon Blue. Everything is the same in both games, except the Pokemon. There are 151 Pokemon total, but only 146 appear in each version. To get all 151, you must trade Pokemon via the link cable with someone who has the opposite version of the game. The point of the game is to become the greatest Pokemon trainer of all time and to catch all of the Pokemon. To start out, Prof. Oak gives you a choice of three Pokemon; Charmander, Bulbasaur, and Squirtle. From there on out, youre on your own. You must catch and train your Pokemon, and battle other Pokemon trainers.
